Fort-Lauderdale, FL – The City of Fort-Lauderdale, is pleased to present the Black History Month Art Exhibit an Exhibition of works By Artist JanJak II. “Modern Afro Caribbean Art” will run from February 1st, 2019 – March 1st, 2019 with an opening reception Friday, February 21st from 6-8:00 p.m. The event held at the City Hall Lobby Art Gallery will include entertainment music by local talent as well as complimentary entrance, refreshments and parking.

JanJak II a South Florida based artist will be featured in the show: Many of the works are Afro-Caribbean inspired pieces that explore unconventional painting techniques and multi patterned paintings. Shape and line are driving forces.

For most of these paintings, the use of color is important and often explosive. JanJak II The featured Artist presents a modern Look to his native Caribbean Islands and explores in his works a modern approach in treating Afro-Caribbean themes.

“Modern Afro-Caribbean Art”” will run through March 1st, 2019. in the Lobby Art Gallery at 100 N Andrews Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301. The artist will be present at the opening reception Thursday, February 21st, 2019, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Gallery hours are Monday – Friday 10– 5:00, and by appointment.
